PLAYERS: Nick Eason
TEAMS: Arizona Cardinals

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  How are you celebrating?  Hopefully the ladies are doing their thing and getting checked.  The NFL annually take it upon themselves and wear pink to bring attention to the disease.  Arizona Cardinals defensive end Nick Eason did his thing over the weekend to bring awareness…and it didn’t involve wearing pink gloves and socks. While the Cardinals were in Minneapolis to play the Vikings over the weekend, Eason visited the Mall of America where he proceeded to take a sledgehammer to a car with the words “breast cancer” on it.  He destroyed it.  Eason’s mother died of breast cancer in August. Pink gloves, towels, socks, shoes and smashing the bejeebus out of a compact car…hey, whatever works, right?  At least it wasn’t an American car. Go Boobs. Off the Bench

Stephens-Howling comes up big for Cards

TEMPE, Ariz. Its easy to wrap your arms around LaRod Stephens-Howling. Hes only 5-feet-7, he was a late, seventh-round pick out of Pittsburgh in 2009 (240th overall), and he has perhaps the most appropriate and affection-inspiring nickname in the NFL: The Hyphen. I know the fans really appreciate what I do, Stephens-Howling said. I was the underdog, and I guess people wrap themselves...

Inconsistency killed the Cardinals

This Arizona Cardinals season has been marked with both ups and downs this year while they have dealt with their many problems.  Coming into the year they were switching between two quarterbacks, and injuries have thus far been the deciding factor on who has gotten the snaps.  The Cardinals have also had to deal with a very below average offensive line that has given up the most...

San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals: Week 8 NFL Pick

San Francisco 49ers (5-2) at Arizona Cardinals (4-3) In NFC West matchups, the rule of thumb is to pick the home team. Since 2007, no other division comes close to covering at home at a rate as high as the NFC West, which is 103-74 ATS at in that time period. San Francisco, St. Louis, [...]

Darnell Dockett’s $100,000 Cash Stack Comes With Special Message For The Ladies

Roger Goodell has to appreciate some of the finer moments his athletes are responsible for on the Internet. Sure, there are the great charitable deeds performed by many. Larry Fitzgerald is known to be a great friend of charity organizations. Then there’s his teammate Darnell Dockett, the guy who once took a shower on uStream to win a $1,000 bet. That was 2010. Arizona Cardinals: Week 8 NFL Power Rankings (#21)

Last week: 21 (+0) Record: 4-3 After going 10-1 in an 11 game stretch in games decided by less than a touchdown, the Cardinals have lost 2 straight games of that nature. They must have “forgotten how to win.” Well, before that 11 game stretch, they were 2-8 in their last 10 games of that [...]

Mike Leach bans Washington State players from Twitter

Many coaches view Twitter as nothing more than a distraction, and Mike Leach has apparently joined that group. Effective earlier this week, Leach has banned his Washington State players from using Twitter in any capacity or tweeting anything — regardless of the message. According to The Spokesman-Review, Washington State athletic director Bill Moos said some of the WSU players...

No more twitter, says Leach

PULLMAN – Washington State head coach Mike Leach has banned his team from Twitter. In a day and age in which social media seemingly has no filters, Leach introduced some, making the call Tuesday that enough was enough. His players are now forbidden from tweeting and the consequences for doing so will be dire.
