It appears the Arizona Cardinals are getting healthy just in time for their week 6 divisional matchup with the San Francisco 49ers’, according to their official web page. While several players were reportedly limited in practice on Thursday—such as All-Pro Larry Fitzgerald and inside linebacker Kevin Minter—none of them seem to be in any danger of missing Sunday’s contest. In fact, several of the players that were limited in practice this week were likely being given extra rest in anticipation of what is sure to be a grueling road game. Interestingly enough, it looks like safety Rashad Johnson will be able to return to the field this weekend as well. Johnson lost the tip of his finger during a collision in a game earlier this season. It was one of the more gruesome on-field incidents in recent memory. Perhaps even more unbelievably, Johnson was actually willing to return to the field much sooner than this. However, doctors were afraid that he would do further damage to the remainder of the finger if Johnson had played before it was completely healed. Essentially, Johnson risked losing the rest of his finger if he had played. Obviously after such an amazing ordeal, fans will be delighted to see Johnson back on the field in Cardinals’ red.
