Power Rankings: Who’s the biggest fool in Arizona Cardinals franchise history?

Last week, we rated every team’s GOAT – the greatest of all-time. This time around, it’s a different type of goat; the kind who will live in infamy in the franchise’s annals. These are the players, coaches, administrators or other random people connected with a team who did something that will forever be remembered, but for all the wrong reasons. They brought shame on themselves...

Arizona Cardinals Team Needs: Outside Linebacker

The Cardinals have clear needs at outside linebacker. John Abraham had a stellar season in 2013 but there are question marks if he can repeat it. The other side of the 3-4 formation has some uncertainty as the Cardinals look to add the complimentary pass-rushing piece. The level of priority on this has increased since Karlos Dansby bolted for Cleveland. Add Daryl Washington’s uncertain...

What will the Cardinals do at right tackle?

By just about any measure the Arizona Cardinals have had a pretty good start to their offseason. Many national football writers have given them an A rating for adding left tackle Jared Veldheer and cornerback Antonio Cromartie among others. Still there is one question that hasn’t been brought up a whole lot that needs to be answered. Who will be the Cardinals starting right tackle...

The Arizona Cardinals announced the signing of cornerbacks LeQuan Lewis and Eddie Whitley to two-year contracts. Lewis (5-11, 190) played two seasons at Arizona State and has played in eight games -- five with Tampa Bay and three with Dallas -- since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2011.  The Cardinals will be his eighth NFL team since turning pro. Whitley (6-0, 188...

Arizona Cardinals Top Draft Picks Over the Last Decade

The Arizona Cardinals have done a relatively decent job through the draft over the last ten years, but as with any team, they hit on later picks while missing on first and second round picks. While those top two rounds do dominate the list, there have been players later who have been those hidden gems teams long for in the later rounds. The team has only had two general managers...

Which Top 10 OLB could help the Arizona Cardinals?

The Arizona Cardinals need to find a solid edge rusher to compliment John Abraham. The right one would be a great addition to the team and make a tough defense even nastier. Earlier today, we posted our Top 10 list of players at the position and there are a couple who could help the Cardinals. Kyle Van Noy of BYU has the field smarts and a nose for the football that makes him dangerous...

Minter Next Man Up

(photo by www.revengeofthebirds.com)     “It was a little bit frustrating last year, but at the same time, you couldn’t help but learn,” Minter said. “Karlos treated it like a business. He came to work every day to work, whether it was eating the right things, watching film, doing extra workouts. He was a great role model. With what he left, I feel like I can pick up the...

NFLPA president Eric Winston would like to join a team before May's NFL Draft

Tackle Eric Winston has found a job. He is the newly elected president of the NFL Players Association, he must guard the interests of nearly 1,700 professional football players. While he’s protecting the interests of the league’s players as a group, he’d like to be advancing the interests of one team as a member of their offensive line. “I can’t say there have been super...

The best outside linebacker the Cardinals have ever drafted is…

To help fill the time between the beginning of free agency and the draft, Cover32 is running a series on the best and worst draft picks in the history of each franchise. This week the focus is on the outside linebacker position. The outside linebacker has evolved over the years in the NFL depending on what base...

The Madness consumed the brackets

If you had Florida, Wisconsin, UConn and Kentucky as the Final Four this season, you’re either clairvoyant or in possession of a Delorian with a flux capacitor. After most of us watched our Final Four go up in smoke, it left our Cover 32 Writers Bracket Challenge nearly over. Here’s how your Cardinals writers stack up after the second weekend. Ryan Bawek was running strong but...

Cardinals Mailbag: Grading the Free Agent Signings

This week’s mailbag is a simple one…How would we grade the Arizona free agent signings? Ryan Bawek has the answer. Now that the 2014 NFL offseason is three weeks old and the initial mad gold rush of players playing musical chairs and teams spending wildly is all but beyond us (with the exception of the recent unexpected release of DeSean Jackson by the Eagles), I thought it would...
