The Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ training facility should be tented for bacteria like homes are tented for pests after Carl Nicks‘ MRSA infection has resurfaced.
Via Mark Cook of PewterReport.com, Bucs general manager Mark Dominik confirmed reports of Nicks getting MRSA all over again.
Reports that you heard (of Nicks dealing with MRSA) are accurate, that this is a recurrence of the MRSA in the same place and location. From everything we have been told and understand, this does happen which is why MRSA is a bacteria that is hard to treat. But I would tell you that in talking to the infectious disease specialist that has been treating Carl and working with us and working with other professionals, he also confirms and believes strongly that this is obviously the same infection he is dealing with.
That hurts. The team spent a lot of money to bolster their offensive line and Carl Nicks was one where the Bucs put a lot of money into.
Aside from that this is a very serious situation. If this doesn’t get rectified, it can possibly jeopardize Nicks’ career.
