As if the Carolina Panthers defense needed any more bad news, CB Chris Gamble has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Gamble is scheduled for an MRI to determine if he has a torn labrum, and if he does, he will likely wind up on the injured reserve list which would end his season. Gamble originally injured his shoulder against the Atlanta Falcons in September and missed the Panthers next game against the Seattle Seahawks, the Panthers last week before heading into the bye last week. Gamble injured his shoulder again this week in practice. Chris Gamble is the Carolina Panthers career interception leader and second leading tackler. Gamble is a very effective corner, allowing just one reception for every 18.1 offensive snaps according to ProFootballFocus.com. His loss will hinder the Panthers defense with Tony Romo leading the 6th ranked pass offense coming to town.
