Pro Football Zone:
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the NFL Network that Percy Harvin has a chance to play this season, but they won’t have a timetable for his return until he undergoes surgery on Thursday,
It sounds like the most important thing to Carroll is that Harvin is able to recover and get healthy, not for him to play this year.
“We got to get him right, got to fix him up and take care of him,” Carroll said, per NFL.com. “We have a big commitment to Percy, we want to make sure he’s 100 percent and ready to go.”
Carroll says the Seahawks game plan won’t change without Harvin.
“It really doesn’t,” Carroll said. “He’s a fantastic football player that we were just gonna add into the mix. We’ll miss him on kickoff return; he’s one of the best ever. … Other than that, we’re real happy with our guys. When Percy comes back we’ll just be that much stronger.”
