The Pittsburgh Steelers and nose tackle Casey Hampton will be parting ways once the new NFL league year begins in March via Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. In a continuing effort to rebuild their defensive line with youth, the Steelers are moving on from Hampton. Steve McLendon was signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2009. He was a final cut on September 5 but re-signed to the practice squad the next day. McLendon has played in 37 games with 15 tackles and 3 sacks. • casey hampton always was pretty big and slow. i'll miss him. the one they need to get rid of is mike wallace. he's always talking about how fast he is which is great but it doesn't matter if he's the fastest guy in the world if he CAN'T CATCH.
