During the pregame show before Thursday’s matchup between the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions, CBS aired a special segment about former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry. The story focuses on Henry’s mother, Carolyn Glaspy, and the impact she had on four lives after making the decision to donate her son’s organs to needy recipients. Glaspy was lucky enough to meet the four people who received her son’s organs in what may end up being one of the most heart-warming stories ever displayed by the popular CBS show. By giving these four individuals another chance at life, Glaspy said she was able to receive closure from her son’s death.  The segment was so powerful, even James Brown had a difficult time speaking on camera when the segment came to an end. Henry passed away last December from severe head injuries suffered from falling out of the back of a pickup truck. As tragic as this story is, it’s good to see a positive perspective from the incident. We miss you Slim. ...
