Having suffered a Lisfranc injury in early October, Cedric Benson has had a lot of time to kill.

He's chosen to spend it under an alter ego.

As Deadspin points out, the Packers running back -- aka "DJ World Peace" -- has been performing gigs around Austin, Texas in the past month.

Per World Peace's Facebook page, his last appearance came on Nov. 11. Prior to that, on Nov. 6, he did a show at the Yellow Rose, a strip club.

The Texas connection isn't surprising; he played his college ball at the University of Texas At Austin. The new profession, however, is certain to raise a few eyebrows, especially within the Packers' no-nonsense organization.

Should he avoid surgery, Benson is eligible to come off IR in Week 14. The bigger question is: will the Packers, who signed the 29-year-old to a minimal deal, feel inclined to bring him back?

While he awaits the answer to that $825,000 question, World Peace is busy dancing the night away.

I wish I were kidding.

Everything is clear to me! The world is full of energy! I'm making my way to be apart of history! So let's all get together and dance the night away!!
When u got love the worlds a better place! When u got love people will speak on it! When u got love u make history! When u got love ur SOUL is FREE!!
