Dwight Freeney’s signature move, the spin, is still just as effective as it has always been.
Signing with the San Diego Chargers this offseason after the Colts decided not to re-sign him, there was also interest from the Denver Broncos.
Freeney believed the San Diego Chargers gave him a better opportunity on May 18th as he was boarding a jet for a European vacation.
Going into training camp, the San Diego Chargers have been using cornerback Marcus Gilchrist to fill in at strong safety while Brandon Taylor rehabs a torn ACL. According to his defensive coordinator, John Pagano, Gilchrist has been doing much better than just filling in. On an interview with Darren Smith on the Mighty 1090, Pagano says Gilchrist’s “transformation to safety has...
According to the U-T San Diego columnist Kevin Acee, former Saints defensive back Johnny Patrick has done enough so far at the San Diego Chargers’ training camp to make the team come the end of August.
Former Saint Johnny Patrick had pretty much made this team as nickel and depth at cornerback. Today, he is making sure.

The San Diego Chargers have signed undrafted rookie safety Tony Burnett, the team announced on Tuesday.
The corresponding move sees the team waiving injured rookie cornerback Kenny Okoro and quarterback Mike Hermann.
Burnett worked out for the team after he went undrafted but was ultimately unsigned. He spent his collegiate years at Southern Cal.
The move comes out of need for depth...

Ingram tells the U-T San Diego’s Michael Gehlken that all he can do is work hard and hope for the best.
You never know,” Ingram said. “I can’t predict the future. I don’t want to make predictions. You know I want...

HBO’s Hard Knocks is a TV program that airs an entire NFL preseason for one NFL team each year. This year it’s the Cincinnati Bengals; next year it might be the San Diego Chargers. Recent news articles have been hinting that the Chargers are currently the favorite for the 2014 Hard Knocks program. This does not mean that they are...
On Wednesday, the NFL announced the drastic changes they were making to the Pro Bowl starting this year. San Diego Chargers safety Eric Weddle says he doesn’t care about the changes made.
Weddle, who has been voted All-Pro multiple times, has often been snubbed out of his ticket to Hawaii (and Miami that one strange year; yeah that one).
I’m not going to make it, so I don’t...
The New England Patriots made a calculated decision when they decided to let Danny Woodhead leave to the San Diego Chargers via free agency this offseason. It’s a decision that could come back and bite them later on considering the team is currently missing its top-five pass catchers from last season.
Yet, the Patriots loss will be the Chargers gain because San Diego it seems...
The San Diego Chargers have signed free agent quarterback Nathan Enderle.
Enderle, a four-year starter at Idaho, was a fifth-round draft choice of the Chicago Bears in 2011. He spent that season on the active roster but did not play in any games.
He went to training camp with Jacksonville in 2012 and then spent time with Tennessee this offseason.
The move was announced Wednesday...
The Chargers nosedived from a painfully disappointing team in 2010 to what we saw in 2012: a downright bad team. This happened for three reasons:
1) They seemed to lose offensive weapon after offensive weapon every season from LaDainian Tomlinson, to Darren Sproles, to Vincent Jackson.
2) They also lost talented offensive protection every season from Marcus McNeil, to Louis Vasquez...
Despite a reasonably talented roster the Browns plodded to a 5-11 record and Pat Shurmer and his staff were replaced. In comes Head Coach Rob Chudzinski and offensive coordinator Norv Turner. Much has been made about how Turner’s offense means a great deal for the down field passing game, and for the fantasy value of tight end Jordan Cameron but Turner can help the Cleveland run...
