Free agent safety Charles Woodson was a guest on NFL AM on Friday and was asked if any NFL teams have shown any interest in him. “Nothing right now. Nothing substantial,” Woodson said, per NFL.com. “I’m just waiting around. We put feelers out there just to see where everybody’s at. There’s not much right now.” Woodson says he just needs to be patient. “I went through this before in 2006 when nobody was interested in me coming out of Oakland. I’m in the same situation now. Just have to have a little patience. I’ll land somewhere and help somebody win,” Woodson said. Steve Wyche of the NFL Network asked Woodson if the Ravens showed any interest as they look for a replacement for Ed Reed. “I haven’t heard anything from Baltimore or anybody else for that matter,” Woodson said. Woodson can’t compare now to back in 2006. For one thing he’s 36 years old. He’s at the age where NFL teams probably don’t see him as a starter any longer. Woodson is no longer going to draw the att

Seeing as Charles Woodson has no takers right now, and with the thought that he still has a few years left in the tank, should the Redskins kick the tires on him and put him at free safety? Woodson hasn’t garnered much attention in free agency, which to me is surprising. Maybe Woodson’s asking price is too much but that hasn’t been reported. “For the right price,” the Redskins...
Charles Woodson was once a perennial Pro Bowler with the Raiders and Packers, but now he can’t seem to find a job.
Why is such a highly decorated player not even drawing a sniff of interest from NFL teams? Woodson, who would be entering his 16th pro season, says his age is scaring clubs off.
“I’m 36, so of course I’m considered ancient in the game right now, and teams are...
Free agency hasn't exactly gone like Charles Woodson expected.
Nearly two months after being released by the Green Bay Packers, the 36-year-old defensive back is still without a team. It doesn't appear that interest in him around the league will be increasing anytime soon, either.
"Nothing substantial; I am just waiting around," Woodson said Friday morning on NFL...
When the Green Bay Packers released Charles Woodson six weeks ago, sentiment around the league was that Woodson would not be unemployed for to long.
A month or so later and Woodson has still found no takers. Woodson though isn’t naive, and told NFL AM that he’s unemployed because he’s old.
“I’m 36, so of course I’m considered ancient in the game right now, and teams...
Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson doesn’t spend much in free agency, choosing to find his talent through cheaper channels such as the NFL Draft.
As teams battle each other to out bid for the ‘flavor of the month’ Thompson sits back and retains his own key players. It’s clear when you look at a team’s books if they are just giving money away without worrying...
ESPN's Adam Schefter discusses the future on Charles Woodson, who's still a man without a team.
Woodson was released from the Green Bay Packer due to salary cap issues, but many are banking on a return at a much lower base salary for the 36-year-old.
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- For 10-year-old cancer survivor Maggie Conlon, hanging out with Aaron Rodgers at her family's home was an unforgettable experience.
"It was probably the best day of my life," Maggie said.
For a young girl who battled -- and defeated -- rhabdomyosarcoma, a type of cancer that she was born with, Maggie didn't make that statement lightly. But that...
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Three of the four dates aren't official yet, but the Green Bay Packers announced their preseason schedule Thursday afternoon.
The Packers will open at home against the Arizona Cardinals, with the game set to take place sometime between Aug. 8-12. Then, Green Bay will travel to St. Louis to take on the Rams between Aug. 15-19.
The one date that is confirmed...
Boys II Men had a hit in the late '90s entitled "It's So hard To Say GoodBye To Yesterday". This song talks about a past relationship and trying to recapture the days of old. There are certain players, in the NFL, who would love to recapture that fire they used to have in their younger days. There is a lot of angst when you walk away from the game when you still...
