Chicago Bears weekly post game notes after the Seattle Seahawks loss.  Defense gave up the most yards to the Seahawks that they've allowed all season, including a 94-yard touchdown drive.  Bears are now the fifth overall seed and wild card spot in the NFC playoff hunt.  If the playoffs started today the Bears would go on the road to face the Packers at Lambeau Field.   Since 2009 the Bears' combined record against the Seahawks, Giants and Packers or likely first round playoff foes is a combined 3-11. MARSHALL HAS 165 RECEIVING YARDS ON 10 RECEPTIONS: WR Brandon Marshall had 165 receiving yards versus Seattle, the most by a Bears player since Marty Booker had 198 versus Minnesota on September 8, 2002.          The 165 receiving yards were the fourth-most of Marshall’s career and most since having 166 versus the New York Jets on September 26, 2010.          It was the sixth game of the season with 100-yards receiving for Marshall, tied for third most in team history (Harlon Hill, 1956 & Johnny Morris, 1964), trailing the seven by Jeff Graham (1995) and Harlon Hill (1954). It was the 25th 100-yard receiving contest of his NFL career.          Marshall now has 91 receptions for 1,182 yards and eight touchdowns on the season, ranking fourth, fifth and tied for 12th in franchise single-season respectively.  The 1,182 receiving yards are the most by a player in franchise history in the first 12 games of a season.   CUTLER HAS 119.6 PASSER RATING IN LOSS: Bears QB Jay Cutler completed 17 of 26 passing attempts (65.4 percent) for 233 yards and two touchdowns for a 119.6 passer rating versus the Seahawks.          It was the first time in Cutler’s NFL career in which his team lost a contest that he had a 100-plus passer rating (25-1 in his NFL career; 15-1 in his Bears career) and the first time under head coach Lovie Smith that the Bears lost when the starting quarterback had a 100-plus passer rating.          It was the third contest this season that Cutler had a 100-plus passer rating (140.1 in Week 4 at Dallas and 138.1 in Week 8 at Tennessee).   FORTE HAS 96 YARDS FROM SCRIMAGE, TD RECEPTION: Bears RB Matt Forte had 66 rushing yards and 30 receiving yards with one touchdown versus Seattle.          Forte now has 7,181 yards from scrimmage in his NFL career, 15 away from surpassing Rick Casares for third most in franchise history. Forte has played in 71 NFL contests, while Casares reached the mark in 121 games as a member of the Bears. Forte is averaging 101.1 yards from scrimmage per game with Chicago.   BEARS DEFENSE RECORDS 300TH TAKEAWAY SINCE 2004: In the first quarter versus Seattle, Bears LB Brian Urlacher stripped the ball loose from RB Marshawn Lynch which was recovered by CB Kelvin Hayden. The takeaway was the 300th by the Bears under Head Coach Lovie Smith.
