Fox Sports Kansas City:
KANSAS CITY, Mo. Did you hear the one about the time Dwayne Bowe rolled with Charlie Sheen?
Bowe runs with a fast crowd in the offseason. But even he was surprised when he turned up to a commercial set earlier this year to find actors Sheen, Keana Texeria and Tyson Ritter living it up.
I thought it was a photo shoot, Bowe said Wednesday after wrapping up his second day at the Kansas City Chiefs last mandatory offseason minicamp of 2013.
It was more than that. Bowe was one of several celebrities singer Ariana, hip hop artist Pitbull, and Dallas Cowboys wideout Dez Bryant, and Chad Johnson also make cameos to appear in a television commercial for the auto manufacturer Fiat, one apparently shot along the beaches of south Florida.
Bowe appears several times during the piece the first time, hes playing paper football (and looking bored) with Bryant and Johnson. In another shot, hes dancing and living it up with some young ladies.
I was already down in Miami, the Chiefs receiver explained. They just called me. Chad was like, Come on, do it with me. I was like, All right. So it wasnt a big deal.
But at least you got a Fiat out of the deal, right?
Nah, I actually didnt, Bowe said.
And as to whether hell take on more commercials this offseason
Ill leave that up to you guys, he replied.

Kansas City coach Andy Reid is excited about undrafted free-agent, quarterback Tyler Bray per ESPN. He was expected to go in the mid-rounds. But because of worries about his overall inconsistencies he went undrafted. Yet, Bray was strong this spring with the Chiefs. He has a very strong chance of sticking on the 53-man roster as the No. 3 quarterback, where he would start the process...
Rico is probably one of the most impressive deep threats in the 2013 NFL Draft. He has a little bit of Mike Wallace mixed with Stevie Johnson. He is a good possession receiver, but has very good route running skills. Rico has great hands and is a very impressive and dedicated football player. I talked to his coaches who said that you will not find a player more dedicated to the game...
OTAs are all about finding out what a player can and can’t do and coach Andy Reid wants to know if Alex Smith can air it out.
It’s no secret that Reid likes the deep passing game, his west coast offense works the short range passes, but it’s all about taking shots downfield.
Smith was a so called ‘game manager’ in San Francisco, but in Kansas City it’s a whole new...
When Andy Reid came to a mutual agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles to have an amicable parting of ways.
It wasn’t how it was supposed to end. Reid was the toast of the town up until 2011 and the dreaded ‘dream team’ that fell on their face.
However, for every bad happening there is a silver lining, in this case the Kansas City Chiefs.
Team chairman Clark Hunt can...
Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles would have drawn more attention for coming back from a knee injury, but Minnesota Vikings’ Adrian Peterson went ballistic with over 2,000 yards and took up most of the press.
However, a 1,500 yard rusher is hardly something to sneeze at and for Charles, he’s just getting started.
Offensive coordinator Doug Pederson says that...
It’s a good thing that Clark Hunt likes the changes that were made with the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason. The owner of the ball club overhauled many management positions, including head coach and has brought in new players to a roster that although boasted a 2-14 record, was represented in the Pro Bowl by five starters.Somehow that seems impossible to fathom. This is a new look...
KANSAS CITY, Mo. For a wine guy, Dick Vermeil never has been much on sour grapes. At one point Tuesday, the old Kansas City Chiefs coach grabbed the new one Andy Reid as if he were a teddy bear, grinning with every step.
"I've seen this practice before, in Philadelphia," Vermeil said after the Chiefs concluded the first day of their final spring mini-camp inside...
John Dorsey had a vision for what the Kansas City Chiefs should look like when the longtime Packers personnel man was hired as their general manager in January.
After nearly 50 roster moves and a month of offseason workouts under new coach Andy Reid, all designed to change the culture of a 2-14 franchise, that vision is slowly becoming a reality.
With a new quarterback in Alex...
Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt made a rare appearance at mandatory minicamp Tuesday and walked away pleased with the progress the team has made under new general manager John Dorsey and coach Andy Reid.
Hunt has rarely attended practices the past few years, but said in January he wanted to take on a more visible role with the franchise that his late father Lamar founded during the AFL...
KANSAS CITY, Mo. And then, just like that, it was over.
The Kansas City Chiefs packed up their things Thursday, signed one another's playbooks, and traded tearful hugs. They vowed to write every week, even the slow ones. Andy Reid had somebody pump "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life" over those ginormous loudspeakers outside the University of Kansas Hospital Training...

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Rachel Wray won't lie: She's itching for a fight. And this weekend, the former Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader-turned-mixed-martial-artist plans on picking more than a few.
