Chiefs look for upset in AFC West opener against San Diego

Kansas City looks to avoid a 0-3 start as they open AFC West play with the season’s second road test against the San Diego Chargers Sunday. The Chiefs seem ages behind where they were just one season ago when they began 3-0. After losing Jamaal Charles, the Chiefs actually seem closer to 2009 when they opened the season with five straight losses. The Chargers may be a bit vulnerable on offense with both Malcolm Floyd and Antonio Gates questionable Sunday. Unfortunately for Kansas City, Philip Rivers still has his top receiving target Vincent Jackson at full strength. Despite futile efforts and woeful scores, the Chiefs still rank in the top ten rushers in the NFL so far this season. Before he went down, Jamaal Charles wasn’t even leading his own team in rushing- that honor belonged to Dexter McCluster.
