Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Kyle Orton stepped in for the ineffective Tyler Palko in the second quarter and promptly injured a finger on his throwing hand against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Orton, who was claimed off waivers on Nov. 23, immediately signaled that he was injured after taking Chicago defensive back Major White's helmet to the hand on his first play from scrimmage. Palko returned to the contest. With Matt Cassel done for the season with a hand injury, Palko has struggled in his absence. The 28-year-old Palko entered the contest having thrown for 444 yards with zero touchdowns and six interceptions in two games.
