Kissing Suzy Kolber:
In addition to finding another excuse to put Betty White on television, Nat Geo Wild’s Big Cat Week is having a special in which Chris Johnson and Devin Hester will race a cheetah. Johnson never got the race against Usain Bolt that he’d been angling for for so long, so this will have to do instead.
And here is a very bored-sounding quote from Devin Hester:
“The whole idea of racing next to a cheetah for Nat Geo Wild was a very unusual proposition,” said Hester of the Chicago Bears.
“Man vs. Cheetah” airs in November, and is shaping up to be the best “football player versus an animal” race since the time Chad Johnson raced a horse.

When you are among the fastest human beings on earth, finding a challenger to your speed is difficult. And even though Chris Johnson thinks he can take the World’s Fatest Man Usain Bolt in a race, he will have to settle for a feline in the meantime. Along with the Chicago Bears Devin Hester, the uber-confident Tennessee Titans running back will take part in Big Cat Week on Nat...
Two of the planet's fastest human beings, Chris Johnson and Devin Hester, are going to be racing a cheetah in Nat Geo Wild's "Man vs. Cheetah" special for Big Cat Week.
MAN VS. BEAST
For reasons of which I am unaware, Titans RB Chris Johnson and Bears return specialist Devin Hester raced a cheetah. The race was filmed for "Nat Geo Wild" which is attempting to one-up Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. Cheetahs can apparently go from 0 to 60 in three seconds, so we know who is probably going to win this race. While Johnson and Hester can outrun defensive...
Can Devin Hester once again be a dominant kick and punt returner for the Chicago Bears now that he’s been stripped of his duties as a wide receiver in Marc Trestman’s offense?
Tweet Veterans of many NFL teams will be reporting to their respective training camps in the coming days and that includes Devin Hester of the Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson. Much of the news around Hester recently has centered on his experiment as a wide receiver apparently coming to end [...]
Man vs. Animal. NFL player versus Cheetah? That’s the story according to the TheWrap . “Speedy NFL stars Chris Johnson and Devin Hester — and one big game cat — are going to run like their species depends on it to kick-off Nat Geo Wild’s Big Cat Week. “This is most incredible challenge I’ve ever faced,” said Johnson, running back for the Tennessee Titans. “I wanted...
Titans running back Chris Johnson has no problem proclaiming himself the fastest man in the NFL.
Johnson and Bears wide receiver Devin Hester both had the opportunity to see how fast they really were, when they both took time out of their schedules to race an animal.
The Wrap is reporting that the two NFL stars took part in a race against a cheetah on a show appropriately named Man...
In one of the stranger stories I’ve read, Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson and Chicago Bears WR/KR Devin Hester will be racing against a cheetah. Johnson currently holds the NFL record for the fastest 40-time at the NFL Combine, a 4.24. This event will be aired on the Nat Geo Wild network and will kick off the network’s Big Cat Week in November.
Johnson told reporters that he’s...
How fast are Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson and Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester? We know that they are two of the fastest players in the NFL, but how would they match up against the fastest land animal in the world? Apparently we’re about to find out. According to The Tennessean, Johnson and [...]
Titans running back Chris Johnson is racing a cheetah. Yep arguably the NFL's fastest player is racing the planet's fastest animal. Johnson won't be alone: Bears returner Devin Hester is racing too. It's all part of Nat Geo Wild's Big Cat Week kickoff special "Man vs. Cheetah" which will air in November.
"This is most incredible challenge I'...
Chris Johnson and Devin Hester are arguably the two fastest players in the NFL. But are they faster than a cheetah?
Well, we will soon find out.
The Titans running back and Bears wide receiver apparently have raced against a cheetah for a made-for-TV program that will air on National Geographic in November as part of the network’s Big Cat Week kickoff special called Man vs. Cheetah...
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is used to facing Jaguars twice a year. In November, Johnson and Chicago Bears receiver Devin Hester will showcase their speed against an actual cheetah on Nat Geo Wild. According the The Wrap, both players faced off in foot races against the big cat for a special called Man vs. Cheetah, which will air as part of the network’s fourth...
