26-year old RB Chris Johnson has been playing a lot better lately for the Titans.  In his last three games, Johnson has carried the ball 62 times for 333 yards (5.4 ypc) with 1 TD run.  He has also caught 8 passes for 62 yards (7.8 avg) in those three games.  Johnson has now played in 11 games for the Titans this year and he has carried the ball 183 times for 699 yards (3.8 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  He also has caught 39 passes for 268 yards (6.9 avg) without any TD catches this year.  Johnson has now played in 58 games in his first four years in the NFL and he has carried the ball 1,108 times for 5,297 yards (4.8 ypc) with 36 TD runs.  He has also caught 176 passes for 1,276 yards (7.3 avg) with 4 TD grabs so far in his career.  The Titans need Johnson to get back to the RB he was in his first three years with the team.  He is starting to show signs of breaking his year long funk, and it would be perfect timing as the Titans are trying to chase down the Texans in the AFC South.

Titans think run game, Johnson on right track

Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans are coming off their best game in two years running the ball. Now they face a new challenge. Prove they've really worked out all the kinks. The timing would be perfect if the Titans and Johnson finally are back on track and stay around the playoff chase. They head to Buffalo (5-6) on Sunday looking to put together their first winning streak...

Who’s expecting an end-of-season Chris Johnson surge?

Over the past three weeks, Tennessee's Chris Johnson has delivered his two best games of the season, as well as his worst. Johnson rushed for 130 yards and one touchdown at Carolina in Week 10, and he gained 190 yards on 23 carries versus Tampa Bay in Week 13 (somehow not scoring). Sandwiched in between those efforts was a 12-carry, 13-yard dud at Atlanta. The Panthers and Bucs...

Titans RB Chris Johnson Named AFC Offensive Player Of The Week

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has been named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week, the team announced on Wednesday. Johnson ran for a season-high 190 yards in the Titans' 23-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. After a slow start to the season, Johnson has topped 100 yards in two of the last three weeks and has 699 yards and two touchdowns on the...

This has been one of the most frustrating fantasy football seasons I can remember. It’s been a perfect storm of injuries and players failing to live up to expectations on the field. So, as I look over the rosters of my teams, I thought I would compile the list of the 10 most disappointing NFL fantasy football players for the 2011 season. Topping the list has to be Tennessee...

Titans Insider: Tennessee finds running game

Is the running game for the Tennessee Titans finally fixed? That question was posed to Coach Mike Munchak on Monday, a day after Chris Johnson rolled to a season-high 190 yards on the ground in a 23-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints. "Two of the last three weeks we have run the ball pretty well. The one in between wasn't what we would like in Atlanta (12 carries 13...

Week 13 NFL Game Picks

Packers over Giants (+7) The Pack have looked great and the Giants have looked pedestrian. But this one will be a close one because the Giants have a way of rallying against impossible odds during the Coughlin era. Titans (+2.5) over Bills If Chris Johnson is truly back the Titans could make the Texans sweat down the stretch. Broncos(+2) over...

Week 13: Titans vs Bills-fight to stay alive in playoff picture

The Tennessee Titans (6-5) travel Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, NY to face the Buffalo Bills (5-6) this Sunday. With both teams looking to stay in playoff contention, this game should be a fierce battle. Both teams will be without key offensive stars, the Titans lost Kenny Britt to a season ending injury earlier in the year and the Bills will be without Fred Jackson who was...

Johnson, Suggs and Janikowski earn AFC weekly honors

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs and Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski have been selected as the AFC's top players for Week 12 of the NFL season.
