Any starting running back in the NFL has value in fantasy football. With that in mind, go ahead and look for Chris Ogbonnaya as a waiver wire sleeper. The running back for the Cleveland Browns could be thrust into a starting role going forward.
Starter Peyton Hillis got married to Amanda Brown and is now out injured. In Week 8, Montario Hardesty, the team’s backup RB, hurt his calf. Chris Ogbonnaya is next on the depth chart.
The 25-year-old out of Texas has played previously for the St. Louis Rams and Houston Texans. In his career, he has 17 carries for 71 yards. In Week 8, he got 11 carries for 37 yards and caught five passes for 24 yards.
Look out for the Browns picking up another running back, however if they don’t, expect Chris Ogbonnaya to be the man.

I have been critical of Colt McCoy from the beginning. I watch the NFL Red Zone channel and I know what I see. Every other quarterback in the league has a better arm than he does, save perhaps Tim Tebow.Note to self – Anytime you hear someone describe a quarterback as “a winner,” that is code for, “they stink but had good college teammates.”But Colt doesn’t stink this...
Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur talked with the media after their 20 - 10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Among the items discussed was the injury to Montario Hardesty and the play of Colt McCoy.
If the Browns score in the first quarter, it would be a shocking development.
You would be forgiven for thinking that the Cleveland Browns offense has been celebrating Halloween all season, as it remains a truly terrifying display week after week. After Sunday’s 20-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the disturbing trend of ineffective, bland offensive showings by the offense (in keeping with the tradition of previous seasons, which is a nightmare all its...
Colt McCoy's fumble after a sack leads to one TD. 49ers drive 88 yards from their 1 for a field goal.
Browns fans aren't quitting yet, says Plain Dealer reporter.
The Cleveland Browns are 3-4, just like the 2001 New England Patriots that won the Super Bowl.
The thin Browns backfield will be even thinner over the next few weeks. Browns running back Montario Hardesty tore a calf muscle against the 49ers on Sunday, and will miss “some time” according to his coach Pat Shurmur, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. Cleveland has already been without Peyton Hillis for a few weeks. While…
Here’s how the 49ers fared on Sunday in keys to the game identified by NinersDigest before San Francisco’s 20-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns at Candlestick Park, running the Niners’ winning streak to five consecutive games and giving them their first 6-1 start since 1998 while increasing their lead to four games in the NFC West.
Imagine that? The Browns were 9.5 point underdogs and they lost by 10 points to the San Francisco 49ers. The Browns were their own worst enemy all game long fumbling the ball and generally not having any kind of tempo on offense. So the Browns fall to 3-4 and will need to lick their wounds quickly before heading to Houston to face the 5-3 Texans.
Injuries were again a big part...
The Browns are wearing mustaches, approaching today’s game as a business trip, and fresh off a three point win at home over the Seattle Seahawks heading into today’s tilt with the 49ers. Even with all those things pointing to an inevitable Browns win today though, they still most certainly have their hands full. Frank Gore is a load, and Jim Harbaugh has these Niners playing...
The Cleveland Browns face a tough task on the road this afternoon, as they go against the San Francisco 49ers without running back Peyton Hillis. Lucky for them, they have a dominating defense that should keep them in the game. Should that happen, Colt McCoy and the offense will need to step up and make a few big plays to pull off the upset. To get a closer look at the match-up,...
