The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed CB Terence Newman as an unrestricted free agent Monday. Newman will enter his second season with the team and 11th year in the league in 2013.  The 5-10, 192-pound cornerback spent his first nine NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys after being drafted in the first round out of Kansas State in 2003. According to Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer, Newman will earn a base salary of $1.5 million this year and $1.9 million during the second year of his two-year deal. Last season, Newman, 34, registered a team-high 14 passes defensed and finished fifth on the team and second among defensive backs with a total of 75 tackles.  His two interceptions also raised his career total to 34. He appeared in 15 contests (all starts) last year and has averaged 14.8 games and 14.6 starts during his 10-year career.  Newman has also played and started six postseason games, including last year’s Wild Card playoff game against the Houston Texans.
