Pro Sports Daily:
A civil suit filed by a former girlfriend of the Chicago Bears' Brandon Marshall against the wide receiver was dismissed, according to the Chicago Tribune. The lawsuit accused Marshall of abusing Rasheedah Watley with two counts each of battery and false imprisonment stemming from incidents in June 2007 and March 2008. Watley was looking for punitive damages in the case, which was dismissed May 25 in Georgia State Court. In another incident involving the ex-couple, a jury in 2009 found Marshall not guilty of misdemeanor battery from a violent argument with Watley at an Atlanta condominium. The Bears acquired Marshall in a trade from the Miami Dolphins in the offseason. Marshall caught 81 passes for 1,214 yards with six touchdowns last year.
