Drafting cornerback Morris Claiborne last week should go a long way in improving the Dallas Cowboys' poor pass defense from the past two seasons. But Claiborne could potentially help in more areas than just covering wide receivers. The player the Cowboys openly admitted was the top defensive player on their draft board could also be used to return kicks, something he did at LSU. In fact, Claiborne is so eager to contribute that he revealed during a local radio interview that he wouldn't mind lining up for a few snaps at wide receiver. "I would love to be a two-way player," Claiborne told "Galloway and Company," a Dallas radio show on 103.3 KESN-FM. "If they gave me that chance and opportunity to go both sides of the ball I'd love it. I won't turn it down. I'd get in and give it 100 percent." Claiborne had a similar response when the possibility of returning kicks was mentioned. "Hopefully that'll be one of the things th...

Cowboys reportedly might have Morris Claiborne return kicks

According to ProFootballWeekly.com, the Dallas Cowboys may end up having rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne return kickoffs this season, which is a big risk since it would increase his chances of getting seriously injured. Most teams don’t have starting players return kickoffs or punts, but the Cowboys seem to feel  the risk is worth it for them to have wide receiver Dez Bryant...

Two Former Dallas Cowboys Make List of Overpaid Players

Roy Williams: One of the worst players who made the most money (Photo credit: Wikipedia) Jerry Jones and staff have made some bad personnel moves. I think we could all accept that statement as fact. However, it might be more difficult to come to an agreement about players to whom the Cowboys have paid too much money. A writer for Bleacher Report has a couple of ideas. Amber Lee has...

Draft Grades: Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys made a bold move by trading into the top 10, but they got a great deal from the Rams and have now solidified their most glaring weakness on defense. Normally I’m critical of teams that trade up as far as the Cowboys, but only because of the price tag associated with climbing into the top 10. The Cowboys, however, were able to hang on to their 2013 1st-round...

The question is, was it the right move, did they sacrifice too much in order to draft the top cornerback in the draft? Let’s take a look at my 2012 Dallas Cowboys Draft Grade. 2012 NFL Draft Re-cap

There were a lot of moves made over the 3 days of the 2012 NFL Draft, but if I had to pick my favorite it would have to be the Dallas Cowboys moving up 8 picks to select CB Morris Claiborne with the 6th pick of the draft. Claiborne is a unique talent who will bring much needed help to a secondary who ranked 23rd in the NFL in passing yards allowed last season. The Cowboys have already...
