After a solid performance by Brady Quinn, and a good performance by Derek Anderson against the Titans this past Saturday, Eric Mangini had declined naming a starter as of Monday, Aug. 31.Mangini said the coaching staff “will continue to go through their process.”That statement is similar to the strange, cryptic statements that former head coach Romeo Crennel used to say during his press conference speeches.Most every other NFL team has named their starting quarterback including Tampa Bay (Byron Leftwich) and the New York Jets (Mark Sanchez) to name a few, but the Browns have not.It should be understood that Mangini is dragging this “process” out because of two possible things.
