Since entering the NFL in 2010 the football field has not been as kind to Colt McCoy as it was in his college days. It doesn't help that that he has been stuck on one of the worst teams in the NFL, the Cleveland Browns, but he was drafted to take them out the doldrums.
With a new owner, head coach, and general manager his chance to do so may soon be coming to an end. Rumor has it that the Browns are looking to trade the former third round pick, but if they are not able to they will likely release him.
After a meteoric college career that saw him become the most successful college quarterback in NCAA history (at the time with 45) you would think that NFL greatness would be a sure thing.
At 26 there is still hope that with the right team he could still develop into a serviceable pro quarterback. There are plenty of teams that are in need of help at quarterback (i.e. Arizona, Jacksonville, Buffalo to name a few). Teams could do a lot worse with their back-up quarterbac...
