In a move that promised to bring “shock and awe” to Colts fans, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the team has acquired RB Trent Richardson from the Browns via trade. The move was teased on Twitter for roughly 30 minutes before the gamble was announced:   OMG…the Earth is SHAKING!!!!! Shock and AWE is coming VERY SOON!!!!!!! — Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) September 18, 2013   This day of MONSTER TRADE,The Tidal Wave Of Deal making…Shocks the system of “..Didn’t see THIS ONE COMING!!!!!!” Grig’s Rollin’ Dice! — Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) September 18, 2013 The move definitely comes as a shocker to most, as Cleveland spent the third overall pick on Richardson in the 2012 NFL Draft. Richardson, in his second season from Alabama has 31 carries for 105 yards in two games with the Browns this season and was expected to take a giant leap for the Cleveland franchise. It seems the Browns will start from square one under new ownership, and getting rid of a franchise guy proves they’re doing just that. The Colts gave up a first round pick for Richardson. A pick that if they make the playoffs, will be a lot less valuable than a third overall. Good move, Mr. Grigson.
