A few weeks ago, 93-year-old Colts fan Amelia Rudolf was the victim of an assault that took place in her Anderson, Indiana home.

To help her get over the attack, Rudolf's daughter and season ticket holder, Tresa Hale, contacted the franchise for assistance.

And they quickly heeded the call.

According to IndyStar.com, Rudolf and Hale were invited to a Colts training camp practice, and treated to an outpouring of support. Owner Jim Irsay presented Rudolf with an autographed $100 bill. Kicker Adam Vinatieri stopped by to sign a football. Coach Chuck Pagano, no stranger to difficult circumstances, chatted with her for "several minutes" after practice.

But the highlight of Rudolf's day came when she met quarterback Andrew Luck, her favorite player. Luck spent time getting to know Rudolf and gave her something priceless -- a big hug.

The gestures deeply touched a grateful Hale.

“They have been just wonderful,’’ Hale said. “When something like (the assault) happens, you kind of lose faith in the human spirit. Then an organization like the Colts come along and does something so nice for someone else to bring happiness and joy to her life.

“She had 93 wonderful years before this happened. You can’t let 15 minutes of crime define you. It’s like Chuck said in his speech (last season). You can’t let circumstances define you.’’
