Jason David was a fourth-round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts in the 2004 NFL Draft and played in the NFL for six seasons. As a Covina, California native, David migrated up to Washington State University for college, where he played for three years and majored in communications.During his time with the Cougars, David teamed up with fellow cornerback Marcus Trufant for two seasons. As a senior, he helped the Cougars defeat Texas in the Holiday Bowl by returning a fumble recovery for a touchdown. The Cougars won 28-20.After his senior season, David looked to be drafted. Needing help on defense, especially in the secondary, the Indianapolis Colts selected David with the 29th pick in the fourth round (125th overall). In three seasons with Indianapolis, David was solid, especially as a rookie when he played in all 16 games and made 51 tackles with four interceptions. Much like at Washington State, he formed a formidable cornerback tandem with Nick Harper. In 87 regular-season starts together, the duo made 358 tackles and hauled in 17 interceptions.David was the starting cornerback for the Colts in Super Bowl XLI in what would be his final game with the team. After the season, he was let go and signed a four-year deal with the New Orleans Saints.David played for two seasons in New Orleans before being released after the 2008 season and has not played since. He now owns the STARS Performance Training and Sports Medicine foundation near his home in Anaheim. For more of the “Indianapolis Colts Countdown to Kickoff” series, check out the entries below!CTK No. 98-90No. 98 Robert Mathis, No. 97 Arthur Jones, No. 96 Josh Chapman, No. 95 Fili Moala, No. 94 Rob Morris, No. 93 Dwight Freeney, No. 92 Bjoern Werner, No. 91 Jonathan NewsomeCTK No. 89-80No. 88 Marvin Harrison, No. 87 Reggie Wayne, No. 86 Erik Swoope, No. 85 Ken Dilger, No. 83 Dwayne Allen, No. 81 Marcus Pollard, No. 80 Coby FleenerCTK No. 79-70No. 79 Raheem Brock, No. 78 Tarik Glenn, No. 76 Joe Reitz, No. 74 Anthony Castonzo, No. 73 Jake Scott, No. 72 Jonotthan Harrison, No. 71 Ryan DiemCTK No. 69-60No. 69 Hugh Thornton, No. 68 Ulrick John, No. 67 Lawrence Guy, No. 66 Donald Thomas, No. 65 Ryan Lilja, No. 63 Jeff Saturday, No. 62 Khaled Holmes, No. 61 Jeris Pendleton, No. 60 Lance LouisCTK No. 59-50No. 59 Cato June, No. 58 Gary Brackett, No. 57 Josh McNary, No. 56 Daniel Adongo, No. 55 Quentin Coryatt, No. 54 Andrew Jackson, No. 53 Ray Donaldson, No. 52.
