The Colts cut from perhaps their thinnest position to get more Irrelevant. The team announced they waived wide receiver Griff Whalen, and promoted tight end Justice Cunningham from the practice squad. Cunningham was the final pick in this year’s draft from South Carolina, and was released in final cuts. Whalen played in six games this year, with nine catches. The Stanford product was trading on his familiarity with his old college coach and quarterback, Colts coordinator Pep Hamilton and Andrew Luck.

Colts sign former Florida Gator track star Chris Rainey

The Indianapolis Colts signed free agent running back Chris Rainey to the active roster today. This is a surprise move because Rainey has not been in football for quite some time. I guess you could say it is his second chance. Rainey, 5-9, 180 pounds, was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth […]

Trent Richardson believes he is playing well

Running back Trent Richardson is struggling in Indianapolis; it’s not a secret. Trading Richardson away is making Cleveland look smarter as the weeks continue to pass. Although, Trent Richardson believes he is playing well. “I’m not frustrated at all because I think I’ve been playing good,” Richardson said. “If you turn on the film, I don’t have any missed assignments...

Ichabod Crane Never Needs a Bath: Early Week 11 Fantasy Football Pickups

So how about that Playstation 4? I’ve had mine on preorder for like 5 years. Seriously, I emailed Amazon and just told them that I don’t care when it comes out or how much it costs, I’m getting one. And then I received a return email telling me to please stop wasting their time with nonsense emails. Which I of course ignored like Fox’s “Sleepy...

Colts RB Richardson defends his performance

In Trent Richardson's ideal world, he'd be running through defenses and threatening records the way he did at the University of Alabama. But in reality, the Indianapolis Colts running back has been struggling to gain traction as the team tries to breathe life into its running game. Richardson likely isn't living up to his own — or his team's —expectations. His...

Trent Richardson believes he has been 'playing good'

Trent Richardson has not provided any type of spark for the Indianapolis Colts since he was acquired in a trade from the Cleveland Browns two months ago. He is averaging just 2.8 yards per carry since the deal was made and has been outplayed by Donald Brown. Despite that, Richardson’s confidence remains high. In fact, […]

Report: Erik Walden suspended one game for head-butt

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Erik Walden has been suspended one game by the NFL for head butting Titans’ Delanie Walker last Thursday, FOXSports’ Jay Glazer reported. Walden ripped off Walker’s helmet and tossed it downfield.  When Walker confronted Walden, Walden head-butted Walker in the face when he wasn’t wearing a helmet. “That’s dirty play, there is no need...

Can Colts surpass 2012's win total of 11?

Six games remaining and a three-game lead in the AFC South. That’s where things stand for the Indianapolis Colts. They should win the division for the first time since 2010 unless they completely collapse down the stretch. And even then, they still may win it when you think about the rest of the teams in the division. I predicted that the Colts would go 10-6 when the season...

Trent Richardson: “I Think I’ve Been Playing Good”

I don’t think simply playing good is Trent Richardson’s problem. The Colts have maintained that they have no buyers remorse after trading a first round pick to the Browns for the talented Richardson. While they don’t have regrets about the trade, Richardson’s carries have dwindled some as Donald Brown’s workload has increased. Richardson told the Indy Star that “he...

Goldson and Walden have their suspensions upheld

The NFL has announced that it’s denied the appeal for both Colts linebacker Erik Walden and Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson. The 1-game suspensions of Dashon Goldson & Erik Walden have been upheld by appeals officers Ted Cottrell (Goldson) & Matt Birk (Walden). — Greg Aiello (@gregaiello) November 19, 2013 Walden has been suspended for this weeks game after head butting...

Dear Colts, Can we PLEASE have 60 minutes of good football?

Ok. They got the divisional win over the Titans in Week 11, but that doesn’t mean I have to feel all that great about it. I’ve been saying all season that this team doesn’t have an identity. At this point the only identity I can find that is for certain is that of a team that can pull off come from behind wins. That’s fine and all. It shows toughness and the resolve to not...
