The Indianapolis Colts placed running back Ahmad Bradshaw on their injured reserve list this past week for the neck injury he suffered against the Jacksonville Jaguars in week four. At first, it looked like the veteran back would only miss a couple of weeks, but the neck didn’t heal properly and Bradshaw elected to have surgery to repair the damage. This decision is not only season-ending, but could be career-ending for the 27-year-old halfback.
There aren’t many other surprises on the Colts’ injury list as the team heads to San Diego this week to face the Chargers.
Will Play: FB Stanley Havili (ankle), DT Ricky Jean Francois (groin)
After sitting out last week, both Havili and Jean Francois will return to the field this week. With Bradshaw and Vick Ballard both on IR, the Colts are looking thin in the backfield. Having their starting fullback should help out their run game against a San Diego defense that ranks 9th in league in defending the run.
