The Colts wrapped up training camp at Anderson University on Friday and traveled back to Indianapolis to prepare for Sunday's preseason game against Pittsburgh.

Coach Chuck Pagano said he was pleased with how the team has "bought in hook, line and sinker," but acknowledged there is still plenty of work to be done.

"We're just scratching the surface. We got a long, long way to go and they'd be the first one to tell you," Pagano said of his players. "So what we do is take it one day at a time, one play at a time, one meeting at a time. We don't judge good or bad, what's happened, we just go onto the next play. Our mantra is 60 minutes, all you got and don't judge. Again we got a long way to go but their attitudes are right and their work ethic is right so I'm sure we're going to get there."

One of the veterans Pagano is relying on is wide receiver Reggie Wayne, who has taken on a mentor role for a very young team that also has a new coaching staff. Training camp might be over, but Wayne echoed the sentiment of just scratching the surface.

"We just got to continue to stay in camp mode, continue to get better each day, so we can go and play as team," he said. "I'm still making some small, mental mistakes but that's what the rest of this camp is for. Just to continue to grow, continue to iron out those mistakes and definitely not go out there and continue to make the same mistakes.

"It's going to take time. As a group, as a whole, this is all new to us. We just want to continue to get better."

At the forefront of the team's massive overhaul since last season is rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, who continues to impress.

"Just his steady progress, handling the offense, his command of the huddle, continuing to make great decisions, not forcing things and again he's trying to get better every day out here also so he's going to keep working," Pagano said of what he's looking for from the No. 1 overall pick. "He's his own worst critic, he's not hard on himself but he understands he's got a long way to go too."
