The Colts have been since their loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.

- It was announced on Monday that Austin Collie has ruptured a tendon in his knee and will be forced to miss the rest of the year. The man just can't catch a break. He's had concussion problems over the last 3 years and now you can add potential knee problems to his long list of injuries. With him out for the rest of the year, I expect him to retire. He can't risk his life after football for a few more passes next season. If it is his last season, at least he went out on a catch.

- With Collie out for the year, the Colts have signed Nathan Palmer off the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. Palmer, a receiver, is an athletic guy with some good potential. There's a chance he stays on this roster, but with the Colts having good depth there and more proven players than Palmer, I expect him to be at the top of the list when it comes to "first to go."

- The Colts have decided to the sign Darius Butler and have released Trai Essex. Butler is a former 2nd round pick who played with the Patriots and Panthers. He was pretty disappointing with the Pats, but wasn't horrible. He never lived up to the hype. The thing I like about these high picks that have been busts are that they have the potential to be good, and great potential is what you want. He's still young and a new system is what could be perfect for him. Now, Trai Essex was released too. I'm surprised about this. He's been pretty good, and was definitely better than Seth Olsen and Jeff Linkenbach.

- Andrew Luck and TY Hilton are up for Rookie of the Week honors. Both had great weeks with Luck throwing for 2 TDs and over 300 yards, and Hilton having 4 catches for 114 yards with a TD. Based on the other candidates, you can feel confident that a Colt will win.

- One quick note: Get rid of the replacement refs.
