Colts WR Marvin Harrison Set To Be Added To The Team's Ring Of Honor?
The Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor apparently will add another member later this month. Owner Jim Irsay indicated via his Twitter account that Marvin Harrison, the teams former record-setting wide receiver, will return to town. A Tweet last month hinted that a player would be added to the Ring of Honor at some point this season. The mystical, reclusive, fantastic Mr....
The Colts losing: A Manning kiss off?
Let’s be really honest here. The Indianapolis Colts winless season is historic. Obviously because Peyton Manning is out for the season. And, also because head coach Jim Caldwell is no Tony Dungy. But, and I’m still keeping it real, something seems really, really odd. How can a team implode from the absence of one man? A team that in the last decade has produced multiple...
Irsay thinks the future is bright
I spoke with my parents today and tickets for Sunday's game have fallen into their laps. At 0-8 it would be quite possible that some people simply wouldn't care if the tickets were free. Instead I was reminded of the pride I once had in a little grey t-shirt with a horseshoe my mother bought me at JCPenney's in Terre Haute in 1984. 0-8? No problem. 1-15 in 1991...
Harrison added to 'Ring'
The Indianapolis Colts' "Ring of Honor" will add another member later this month. Welcome aboard, Marvin Harrison. Owner Jim Irsay, who casts the heaviest vote in the process, has grander ideas.
Irsay loves continuity
If you were hoping that Jim Irsay was going to throw out the Polians and fire Caldwell then you haven't been listening to the Mad Hatter very closely. Irsay, while shying away from certainties or "votes of confidence", attempted to provide some perspective:
“I’m committed,” Irsay said. “In their defense, it’s pretty radical after the successes we’ve had...
Polian on punting
Bill Polian is a sound football guy who knows that with context, statistics are key to the game. That said, he doesn't appear to be quite as down on punting as we are. When asked about going for it on 4th and short he responded:
Well, I can see your point. I can see your point. You have to develop a personality in order to do that, and you have to have people that do...

Based on Jim Irsay’s words, Caldwell shouldn’t get too comfortable
During a 40-minute interview with The Indianapolis Star, Colts owner Jim Irsay was given an opportunity to publicly back his embattled coach, Jim Caldwell. Instead, he went to great lengths to avoid saying anything definitive, or even mildly-supportive, about his coach's future in Indy:
"One thing people can't evaluate with Jim is how hard he works, how he prepares the...

What the Colts Need To Do To Win
A big problem for the Colts in recent weeks has been turnovers. Curtis Painter has to make good decisions. Last week, he threw an interception where he was passing it to Garcon, was a pretty good throw, but it was an awful decision to even pass to him. He needs to make good...

Is Peyton Manning’s career in jeopardy?

NFL Week Nine Game Preview- Atlanta Falcons at Indianapolis Colts
The Atlanta Falcons came into the 2011 NFL regular season with high expectations, but stumbled out of the gate early alternating losses and wins for the first five weeks of the season. The demise of the Indianapolis Colts has been well documented, as the Colts without their benchmark quarterback, Peyton Manning have appeared to be the worst team in football.
