Last night, there was some sad news to report. Tom Martinez, the ailing passing whisperer of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, passed away.
Martinez died of an apparent heart attack while on dialysis, but it was eight months after he announced he thought he had one month to live. And he kept fighting on.
Colleague Karen Guregian filed this report near deadline last night, and WCVB had this one. The Mercury News had this story. Since the time Martinez’s death became public, some have weighed in.
WR Julian Edelman, who is from California near where Brady grew up, offered his thoughts on Twitter: “RIP coach Tom Martinez. He was such a great mentor to many in the bay area. His legacy will always live on.”
