Jenny Vrentas of the Star-Ledger is reporting that safety Emanuel Cook has been cut, safety Tracy Wilson has been activated to take his place, and linebacker Ricky Sapp has been resigned to the practice squad. Before I get into my feelings on Cook being released, let me introduce you to Wilson.  He played college football at Northern Illinois and entered the supplemental draft in August where he went undrafted.  He was then signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent shortly thereafter, and has spent most of the season on the practice squad. On to Cook.  I two have opinions on this–personal and business. From a personal aspect, I got to know Emanuel really well during the lockout.  He is an amazing young man who has fought through a ton of adversity to be where he is today.  It was an honor to root for him every Sunday.  While he never got a lot of attention, I knew that he was going to lay it all out on the line each and every Sunday.
