Cory Redding isn’t new to Chuck Pagano, he played for him in Baltimore. So, he knows first hand who Pagano is, and what he means to the Indianapolis Colts. Pagano is under going cancer treatment, but his spirit has shown the fight in him, and now the Colts are showing the same fire. At 5-3, the Colts are the surprise team of 2012, and according to Redding, Pagano is the reason why. Redding spoke to Dan Dakich on 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis about the effect, and inspiration Pagano has brought to the Colts. “His impact was huge. Everybody plays for different reasons throughout their career, and this situation, this reason, is totally the difference. I believe it’s throughout the whole team … to go out and get a victory on the field so we can put ourselves in that playoff situation, to have Chuck back on the sideline to coach that game with us so we can go as deep as we can go. And that’s our goal as a team. Just to see him in the locker room, standing there before us, as he’s preparing mentally and physically to go through another round of a crucial, crucial Leukemia battle, which he’s obviously winning and doing really great on. So it was just a pleasure to see him there and lift everybody’s spirits up.” “That’s just who he is. That’s the guy I met in Baltimore and the guy is continuing to be here with his enthusiasm, his playfulness, his seriousness about the game, his passion and love for it. All those things show, man. And he’s a very emotional guy and loves people, man. And when you have those qualities, you just have a great makeup for a great person and a great guy. And we have that in a coach, and that’s very good.”

Doctor is astonished with Austin Collie's recovery from knee surgery

Two weeks after having surgery on his right knee to repair a ruptured patellar tendon, Indianapolis Colts’ wide receiver Austin Collie had his doctor astonished with how fast he was recovering. Two more weeks later, Collie’s father Scott was on his way to Los Angelesto meet with Austin and the doctor for a follow up appointment. During the six hour drive from the Collie home...

Colts beat Dolphins: Who was Hot in Victory

The Colts are in the playoff hunt after three straight wins, and with a favorable schedule the rest of the way, have a decent chance at a one year successful rebuild.  The win comes on the shoulders of the entire team, but some players certainly had better games than others. But which ones had the better games? Which ones fell off the horse? We'll look at three players on offense...

Colts shave heads to support Pagano

The Indianapolis Colts are going to great lengths to support their ailing coach Chuck Pagano. In a show of support, a group of about a dozen players shaved their heads after Tuesday's practice. Pagano lost his hair while undergoing treatment for leukemia. Director of player engagement David Thornton had a barber in the locker room following Tuesday's practice and about...

Week 10 Playoff Picture: Colts take first step in seizing wide open wild card spot

Things have changed quickly over the past week. I have just two new entries into the Playoff Picture for Week 10 and it is due largely to the fact that the Dolphins and Eagles failed to take advantage of the promising situations in front of them. With the Eagles, it was more about the team that failed to take advantage of an opportunity. For the Dolphins, it's about having that...

Five Reasons the Jaguars will Beat the Colts

Coming off of their 23-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins, the Indianapolis Colts (5-3) head to Florida for their first - and likely last - prime time game of the season as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. On paper, the Colts appear set to win their fourth straight game run, their record to 6-3 on the season, and take one giant step towards securing...

Colts shave heads to honor Chuck Pagano

Photo Courtesy: @mattoverton_ls ((ht: cbssports.com)) It's impossible not to respect Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, his battle with leukemia and his team rallying around him. Pagano was diagnosed a little over a month ago and has been undergoing a heavy dose of chemotherapy while on leave from his job. And the good news, Monday his doctors told him the...

Colts turning heads with results; face Jaguars

The resurgent Indianapolis Colts have a quick turnaround for a Thursday night game. The timing, though, could be just right. The Colts (5-3) go on the road to face division rival Jacksonville (1-7). The Jaguars are winless at home and are on a five-game skid since beating the Colts 22-17 in Week 3. Indy is riding yet another emotional win, beating the Miami Dolphins 23-20 on Sunday...

Colts have different look since loss to Jags

A lot has changed for the Indianapolis Colts since a 22-17 home-field loss to Jacksonville on Sept. 23. That's the only game the Jaguars have won this season and they are 1-7 on the year. Indianapolis, meanwhile, has posted wins in four of its last five games and is rolling along with a 5-3 record. Many Colts point to that loss to Jacksonville in the third week of the season...

Luck, Colts seek revenge against Jaguars

The Jaguars secondary should be scared of the young gun Indianapolis Colts (5-3) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7)  8:20 p.m. Not many people would have thought the Colts would be playoff contenders after saying goodbye to Peyton Manning and welcoming rookie Andrew Luck to be the franchise quarterback. But that is right where the Colts are right now, fighting for a playoff spot...

Waiver Wire: Week Ten

Waiver Time! T.Y. Hilton – WR Colts: Six catches for 102 yards and a touchdown is a good day but having 11 targets is an even better day.  The Colts are playing with a heavy heart and now that Andrew Luck is figuring out the NFL their offense is starting to pick up. Hilton adds another Colt receiver with fantasy value and no defense is in his way the next few weeks. At Jaguars...

Jaguars, Colts open thread; only pride remains

The Jaguars take on the Indianapolis Colts tonight in a game that seemingly only matters to the Colts. At 5-3, Indianapolis is in the thick of the AFC wildcard race, and they're Jacksonville's most hated team. The Jaguars would need to win out and get plenty of help to make the playoffs. At 1-7, it's just not going to happen. Tonight's game is all about doing damage...
