Earlier this week, the Washington Redskins cut running back Clinton Portis–mainly because it would be difficult to pay the injury-plagued back the $8.3 million next season. Now, it appears one writer believes Portis would make a good fit for another team in the NFC East–the Philadelphia Eagles. ESPN’s Bill Barnwell believes Portis would make a good part-time back in Philadelphia playing behind LeSean McCoy–who emerged as one of the most dangerous running backs in the NFL last season after finishing with 1,672 yards from the line of scrimmage to go along with nine touchdowns. At 29, Portis is still capable of being an effective running back–it’s just the health factor that’s slowed him down over the last few seasons. Portis has been limited to just 13 games over the last two seasons–rushing for just 721 yards with three touchdowns.   • I think Clinton Portis,Would fit right in with the philadelphia eagles,backing up Sean McCoy.He still has lot of get go in the sport.Let Me know if he signs with philly,Clinton would be a good asset to the Eagles.Enough said just sign,The coach and the team will love him.
