The Philadelphia Eagles did not have the best first day in pads yesterday, losing both wide receiver Riley Cooper and Jason Babin to injuries. Cooper suffered a broken collarbone, while Babin sustained yet another injury to his calf. Both are expected to miss a decent amount of time. But they say when one door closes, another one opens. In this case, could Cooper’s injury open the door for free agent WR Plaxico Burress possibly having his wish come true of signing with the Eagles? Burress has said all along that he fully intends to play in 2012, and that the Eagles have always been high on his list. The former New York Jets receiver from last season had also stated his interest in working out for the Miami Dolphins, but the team opted to not have Burress come in to work out with them.
