A lawyer for the mother of one of Terrell Owens' children alleged in court papers filed Wednesday that Owens sent her "several taunting text messages ... regarding his failure to pay child support." Randall M. Kessler, an Atlanta-based attorney for Melanie Paige Smith, filed an amendment to petition for contempt Wednesday in Superior Court of Fulton County (Ga.), Family Division. In the amendment, Kessler offers evidence of Owens' "willful and egregious contemptuous actions, over and above the nonpayment of child support" and cites two text messages Owens sent Smith. One of the texts cited reads: "The other mothers got a dose of reality once my attorneys and judge explained by (sic) financial situation. ... so you can only imagine wht's gonna happen when we go 2 court." According to the document, in May 2007 Owens was ordered to pay Smith $5,000 a month in child support. He has "failed and refused to pay any child support" for December 2011 through this month. Owens allegedly owes $30,000 plus interest.

Mike Tyson knows a little something about the perils of stardom and fast money. Past his prime, Owens is out of options
That former Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Terrell Owens would be on the verge of financial and personal ruin is one of the least surprising stories of the past couple of weeks. He plays the victim's role better than anyone in the history of the NFL, and so it's predictable he would blame his issues on everyone else, including the media.
Owens announced Tuesday he was...
Next Question-Is Terrell Owens’ NFL career over?
This NFL offseason has been rough for veteran wide receiver Terrell Owens. Owens appeared on the Dr. Phil show and was simply hammered. He found himself being cut by an indoor football team, with the team forcing him out of the home they provided for him along with the team provided Jeep Wrangler. But the worst part of this offseason for Owens has been the fact he is garnering no...

Terrell Owens fires agent Drew Rosenhaus
Jason Whitney
Terrell Owens appears to be grasping at straws at this point. Owens fired longtime agent Drew Rosenhaus in what Owens is saying was a decision based on him continuing his football career. Owens has hired Jason Woy, a Dallas-based agent who currently represents a handful of Cowboys.
Owens had this to via his website:
“I am making changes in my life so I can continue...
Terrell Owens' new agent doesn't change anything
When news came out that Terrell Owens had left agent Drew Rosenhaus in favor of Jordan Woy, an agent based out of Dallas, I had a couple of thoughts. First, Drew Rosenhaus is probably thrilled that he doesn't have to represent Terrell Owens anymore. Rosenhaus can't exactly make a lot of money when his client isn't getting any job offers. Frankly, if I was Rosenhaus, I...
Pondering the legacy of Terrell Owens

Who knows, maybe he’ll do sit-ups while giving his acceptance speech.Outside of winning a Super Bowl, Terrell Owens has done it all as a wide receiver. In terms of career statistics, he ranks...
Terrell Owens is a sad and disgusting case
I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens, who is still hoping to get back into the NFL, fired his longtime agent and friend Drew Rosenhaus on Monday. Owens actually thinks this move will help him get back into the league and get his life back in order. I think it's long overdue for Owens to realize that the problems he has had in...

CBS makes no mistake by slotting LSU and Alabama for primetime
Give credit to the powers that be in college football: They won’t make the same mistake twice.
That’s because after all the controversy that surrounded the first LSU-Alabama game during the 2011 season, there will be no such drama in 2012. The SEC’s two best teams will play at night, in Baton Rouge, in CBS’s game of the week on Saturday, November 3, 2012. And to quote...

Will the Houston Texans Pursue Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco?
Sometimes NFL teams get desperate. Sometimes that desperation can lead to questionable moves.
