KANSAS CITY -- The Dallas Cowboys' Sunday afternoon in Kansas City was splotched with indecision, bad decisions and well -intentioned decisions gone wrong. And even after this 17-16 Week 2 loss to the Chiefs, the sputtering continued all the way to a simple Arrowhead Stadium elevator ride. As Cowboys staffers trudged from their lofty box to the lift that would drop them to the locker room and to the realities of a 1-1 record, a few coaches straggled. First, the late-comers waved politely at their mates, signaling for the elevator to proceed without them. Then came a hoot and a request to hold the doors. Starting and stopping. Opening and closing. Stalling and falling. "What do you want me to do," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said in response to a media question about his seemingly calm demeanor. "Lay down on the floor and throw and kick and scream?" In review of an effort that featured just one offensive touchdown, no designed rushes in the final quarter, a h...

Dez Bryant lays out for phenomenal catch against Chiefs

Dez Bryant, still really good at football. Bryant had this remarkable diving catch Sunday against the Chiefs where he was ruled down just short of goal line. For some reason, Andy Reid decided not to challenge the play even though it appeared as though the ball hits the ground. Bryant has 5 catches for 100-yards in the 1st quarter. Three plays later Dez got his TD.

Jerry Jones names Brian Waters as a starter

Jerry Jones indicated during a radio interview with Dallas’ KRLD-FM that veteran Guard Brian Waters will get the starting nod over Mackenzy Bernadeau at RG. Waters is a 6 time Pro Bowler that has impressed Jones. “We thought Waters played good for the number of snaps he (had),” Jones said on his radio show aired on Dallas’ KRLD-FM. “So Waters will be in there. That...

Garrett: Cowboys need to re-commit to the run

IRVING, Texas -- To put it lightly, Jason Garrett answered a few questions on Monday about his team's inability to establish a running game Sunday in Kansas City. To summarize his many responses, the Dallas Cowboys head coach said the team needs to "recommit to running the football." "In yesterday's game, we were in some no-huddle type situations for some...

New Game Plan for the Cowboys Already Gone?

The Dallas Cowboys looked like a whole different team from the one we saw take down the New York Giants in week one, falling to the Kansas City Chiefs 17-16 in the home opener.  It was also the home debut for new head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Alex Smith. The Chiefs got out to an early 7-0 lead with Smith, who had a game-high 57 rushing yards, running and passing the...

Cowboys run-game pledge sounds like trouble

IRVING, Texas -- There are certain sounds that are evocative enough to promise trouble is upon you. It's when you hear the squealing of tires braking on pavement, when you hear a chorus of children singing hauntingly in a scary movie, when you hear your wife say, "We need to talk." The noise that causes those same sort of chills to run up the spines of Dallas Cowboys...

Dez Bryant Retweets Draya’s Vagina Photo and Cowboys Fans Aren’t Pleased

It came as a surprise to no one that Dez Bryant didn’t do any of his classwork at Oklahoma State, because he isn’t the brightest guy around.  With that being said I am going to cut him a little slack here. While on Twitter last night this exchange took place between Bryant and Basketball Wives Draya courtesy of The Big Lead. Now, I am not going to post the Vagina in question...

GIF: Dez Bryant lays out for diving catch against Kansas City Chiefs

Tweet   The Dallas Cowboys committed to Tony Romo with a big contract extension earlier this year so the spotlight will be even brighter than normal on the franchise’s quarterback to produce. That job becomes a bit easier when you have Dez Bryant making plays like this for you down the field. There’s little doubt […]

Cowboys stadium uses more electricity than Liberia

Liberian president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf claimed that AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, actually uses more energy than her entire nation. She's right, sort of.

Cowboys Run-Game Pledge Sounds Like Trouble

It’s when you hear the squealing of tires braking on pavement when you hear a chorus of children singing hauntingly in a scary movie when you hear your wife say “We need to talk.’’ The noise that causes those same sort of chills to run up the spines of Dallas Cowboys fans? “We have to...

Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer is active for week 2

Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer is active for today's game. He will see his first action of the season though it probably will be in pass-rush situations. Spencer had left knee surgery July 25 and returned to practice this week with limited practices Wednesday and Friday.

Dallas RB Lance Dunbar Set To Make Season Debut Versus Chiefs

Not that it matters a lot to most fantasy footballers, but Dallas Cowboys backup running back Lance Dunbar is set to make his season debut Sunday versus the Kansas City Chiefs. If you were holding onto Phillip Tanner as DeMarco Murray‘s  backup, it’s time to send him packing. Dunbar should be taking over that role. While I don’t think Dunbar will bet a significant amount of...

Matt Mosley's Instant Replay

Maybe the Cowboys should lobby for a Week 2 bye in the future. For the second consecutive season, they followed up an exciting win over the New York Giants with a loss. The only slightly redeeming thing about this year's Week 2 loss is the Cowboys didn't get blown off the field. But Andy Reid's dominance of the Cowboys continued with Kansas City's 17-16 win in front...
