Wide Receiver Calvin Johnson makes spectacular grab in 2011 comeback over the Cowboys (Photo Credit: Matthew Emmons/US Presswire) From A.J. Green to Dez Bryant the Detroit Lions face another top five wide receiver when they host the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday. As we all remember these two teams faced just two years ago as the Lions made one of the largest comebacks in NFL history.  Down 27-3 in the third quarter the Lions needed a miracle. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is nothing short of supernatural as he threw two interceptions returned for touchdowns. Later wide receiver Calvin Johnson caught a jump-ball over three Cowboy defenders for an iconic 23-yard score.  Wait he did that again last week, didn’t he? Anyways the Lions ended up winning the game 34-30.  Sunday’s meeting between the two 4-3 teams will likely come down to another exciting finish. Each team brings a high-powered offense to the field.  The Lions are ranked seventh in total yards per game while the Cowboys are close behind at no. 13.  The defenses, well, not so great. Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware likely not to play in Ford Field (Photo Credit: Zuma Press) The Cowboys defense did however look much improved last week holding the Philadelphia Eagles to 3 points.  This is particularly surprising because their best player edge rusher DeMarcus Ware was out with a thigh injury.  He is doubtful against the Lions. The Lions, on the other hand, still have much work to do.  The 31st ranked unit could not stop the mediocre Andy Dalton as the defensive line could not get any pressure going. The Cowboys offensive line is much better than it was two years ago so Suh and company could continue the struggle.  Veteran guard Brian Waters has turned the Cowboy unit into a strength. Prediction I like the Lions to rebound at home in a shootout.  The Cowboys offense slowed down quite a bit against the Eagles while the Lions offense is clicking all over the field. Without Ware the Cowboys are one superstar short of pulling this one out.    Plus the Cowboys are 1-2 away from Jerry World.  Lions win 38-31
