It's no secret that the Dallas Cowboys have issues at wide receiver. Behind Miles Austin and Dez Bryant, the Cowboys carry a string of rookies and players who have not proved themselves yet on the field. But could this lack of depth have Jerry Jones thinking about drastic measures? A crop of veteran receivers are still available on the open market including former Cowboy Terrell Owens. Jerry couldn't possibly be thinking about a reunion with TO, could he? "Terrell still has NFL football in him," Jones said on The Dan Patrick Show. "When he's out there, he gives defenses problems." Sure, he gives defenses problems. But he's also made a habit of giving his own team problems as well. Owens was dismissed as player and partial owner this off season from the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League after he wore out his welcome. During his first stint with Dallas, Owens' production of the field can not be questioned. In 47 games over three seasons, Owens caught 235 receptions for 3,587 yards and 38 touchdowns. Jones and Owens have spent the better part of the offseason praising each other in the media, flirting from afar. But surely this mutual admiration won't materialize on the field, right? "We really would like to give every opportunity to our young receivers to come in at that third spot," Jones said. "We are going to work very patiently." Patience is not a virtue in Dallas. If someone does not step up, it's not that far fetched to think Tony Romo could be looking over at the slot and saying to himself, "That's my third receiver?"
