The Dallas Cowboys haven't been able to score a naming rights deal for their new stadium, but that doesn't mean that the sponsorship market has completely dried up.
The team announced Tuesday that it's extending its contract with Direct Energy as the "Official Electricity Provider to the Dallas Cowboys and Cowboys Stadium." That came a day after the Texas Lottery Commission held a press conference in San Antonio announcing that they would start selling a Cowboys branded scratch-off ticket.
The list of official Cowboys sponsors is long and lucrative, including the Gaylord Texan Resort, Bank of America, Wingstop and Miller Brewing.
A spokeswoman for Direct Energy, the third largest electricity retailer in Texas, declined to release details about the financial terms of the three-year sponsorship. Secrecy is common in these deals.
