Jerry Jones is steadily making headlines these days. What else is new? The outspoken team owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys made an unintelligent remark just before his team took the field and beat the Minnesota Vikings in the third week of preseason play. When asked why Pro Bowl center Andre Gurode was not suited up for the exhibition, Jones said he was in the process of evaluating Gurode’s status on the team as a “business decision.” For those of you who don’t understand what we like to call Jerry Speak here in the DFW, let me enlighten you. In normal language, Jones said he is shopping Gurode for a trade. Unless he’s trading him for another Pro Bowl center, it’s a bad idea. Why? The Cowboys are already starting two rookies on the offensive line with Gurode still penciled in at center. Undrafted rookie Kevin Kowalski played the entire game against the Vikings at center and didn’t do bad, but he’s not the guy for a tea...
