The Dallas Cowboys have signed veteran guard Brian Waters to bolster a position plagued by injuries since the start of training camp.
The team reported on its website that Waters signed a one-year deal Tuesday night. He will get $1.5 million in base salary.
Waters signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted rookie fullback 14 years ago out of North Texas before going on to a 10-year career as a lineman with Kansas City. The Dallas-area high school product played for New England in 2011 and was out of football last year.
Both of last year's starters, Nate Livings and Mackenzy Bernadeau, have battled injuries. Livings is on injured reserve. Ron Leary, who has never taken a regular-season snap, is the other viable option.

Brian Waters knows a thing or two about being on a quality team, so the fact that the Cowboys got Waters off the couch to come play for them must mean something in terms of talent right?
Waters, who hasn’t stepped on a football field since he played for the Patriots in the Super Bowl believes the Cowboys are one of the more supremely talented teams in the NFL.

I feel like the perception of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo would be wildly different if he played for just about any other team in the NFL. The scrutiny that comes with being the quarterback of America’s Team, doesn’t help a player widely known for struggling when his team needs him the most. That’s why […]
It is unusual for an eighth-year starting quarterback to change their throwing mechanics, but Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo did just that. Romo told Fox Sports Southwest that he has "discovered something that's going to be really special" in his new mechanics.

IRVING, Texas -- The Cowboys brought their roster to the full 53 on Tuesday afternoon with a trade for Colts pass-rusher Caesar Rayford, who brings to Dallas an intriguing background if not a blue-chip pedigree.
Rayford went undrafted out of college in 2008 after having not been a starter at Washington. He never received a pro tryout then so he signed with the BC Lions of the CFL...
The Dez Bryant hype machine has officially gotten a bit out of control. Sure he is one of the most talented receivers in the league. But MVP? Completely out of the question in my opinion. But, if you ask former Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin Dez Bryant will bring home the MVP award this season. On […]

It turns out that the entire 2013 draft class made the 53-man roster for the Cowboys (pending trades, which are not expected).
Not sure if any of these rookies will become the greatest players to wear these numbers, but there is always a chance. Here’s a look.
