IRVING, Texas Dallas Cowboys tackle Tyron Smith is trying to transform a 15,750 negative into a 15,750 positive. Through his agent Joe Panos, he's already issued an appeal with the NFL commissioner's office regarding the 15,750 fine issued him for an illegal horse-collar tackle in the second quarter of the Cowboys' season-opening 24-17 win at the Giants. And now, he's working to create something even more positive than the result of the tackle, which prevented a Giants TD. "We're working on using that (dollar) figure as a target for a really good cause,'' Smith said. "There's a way we can all pitch in and help people.'' Smith, the 21-year-old budding standout, is directing Cowboys fans to raise money for Dallas-based Camp Summit. Camp Summit's mission: to provide barrier-free outdoor experiences promoting personal growth and independence for children and adults with disabilities. "This can make the whole experience a really positive thing,'' Smith said. Smith, who got the idea as a result of so many Cowboys fans offering to help him pay the fine, is asking Dallas faithful to instead donate to Camp Summit and to click the "DONATENOW" button and in the dedication line type in, "I support Tyron Smith & Camp Summit!" Last Tuesday, Smith visited Camp Summit to participate in activities with the campers. It's probably a positive release for him as the Cowboys have struggled to a 2-2 record as they approach their bye week and he wants his actions to be a part of a solution that can have at least 15,750 worth of positives.
