Found August 05, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
When Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo underwent surgery to remove a cyst from his back this offseason, the team called the procedure precautionary, saying it wasn’t expected to disrupt the signal caller’s training camp. Dallas continued to take a cautious approach with Romo last night, as he was held out of the Cowboys’ preseason opener against the Miami Dolphins. The decision wasn’t made last minute, as it had been reported through the week that Romo was unlikely to suit up for the Hall of Fame Game. While Romo wanted to play, the Cowboys decided it was in his and their best interest to sit this preseason game out. Dallas still has four other exhibition games to go, so Romo will have plenty of time to get the needed work in. For the time being, Dallas likely views the minor procedure as an excuse to keep Romo away from contact as long as possible. Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt Looking for fantasy football advice?
