The odds were stacked against the Dallas Cowboys from the start. The Philadelphia Eagles are 13-0 coming off a bye during Andy Reid’s tenure so it’s hard to blame Tony Romo for Sunday’s loss. With that being said the Cowboys should have been able to muster up more than six points of scoring. The game was essentially over in the first quarter as the Cowboys never threatened to make it a competitive contest. This has to be such a deflating loss for the Cowboys who finally thought they had something to feel good about after the previous week’s win. Now they find themselves stuck in the gridlock that is the NFC East. With the loss, the Cowboys are now tied with the Eagles and the Washington Redskins at 3-4. The New York Giants lead the division at 5-2 but even their record has to be viewed with skepticism seeing how much trouble they had pulling out a win versus the lowly Miami Dolphins on Sunday. So now the Cowboys are entering a critical stretch of their season.
