FOXBORO, Mass. — On a day where Kevin Faulk – a running back whose versatility is deeply entrenched in Patriots lure, was honored at halftime — his successor put on a show that would undoubtedly make him proud.
Danny Woodhead, the heir to Faulk’s third-down back throne in New England, had a Faulk-esque day on Sunday and played a major role in the Patriots 37-31 win against the Buffalo Bills.
The diminutive tailback, standing at just 5-foot-8, broke off a number of big plays and scored a pair of touchdowns that helped the Patriots both establish an early lead and keep drives alive late in the game.
His only carry of the afternoon went for a 15-yard touchdown, giving the Patriots their 17-3 cushion early on. But Woodhead was also a big factor in the passing game, hauling in four passes for 46 yards, including an 18-yard score. Tack on his blocking responsibilities — which can be difficult at his disadvantaged height — and special teams duties, and Woodhead’s impact becomes much cleare...

Patriots fans have become accustomed to the sight of Danny Woodhead emerging from the backfield and breaking into the clear for big gains, but even many of them were amazed just how open he was Sunday against the Bills.
Woodhead scored on two big plays to keep the Patriots ahead, once again appearing to get lost in the defensive shuffle long enough to do some serious damage.
Robert Kraft had some kind words for Kevin Faulk on Sunday when the Patriots honored their former running back at halftime.
As the two Patriots legends walked out to midfield for Faulk’s ceremony, Kraft told Faulk that he loved him. After Faulk’s speech, Kraft even told him that he could run for office.
Faulk was nervous to step out onto the field without a uniform, but he told...
The Patriots have activated TE Visanthe Shiancoe to the 53-man roster. He was previously on IR with the designation to return.— Field Yates (@FieldYates) November 10, 2012The Patriots now have their 100,000th tight end. Shiancoe was placed on the temporary injured reserve back in September. He brings some more potential to this already explosive offense. If the Patriots can run...
After spending nine weeks on the injured reserve with a designation to return, Visanthe Shiancoe has been activated.
The four-game suspension of Brandon Bolden on Friday opened up a spot on the 53-man roster, and it was filled on Saturday by the nine-year veteran tight end. Shiancoe is now the fifth tight end on the roster, joining Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Daniel Fells and...
Logan Mankins is hurt. Again. After playing all of last year with an ACL injury, Mankins has been in and out of games with injuries for all of the 2012 season. The gritty left guard left Gillette Stadium in a boot, however he was walking freely without crutches. But he will have to be watched carefully over to week to see if he can take on the Indianapolis Colts next week. The New...
The New England Patriots have attempted to deploy their talented tight end Aaron Hernandez since his high ankle sprain and it only made his injury situation cloudier.
On Sunday Hernandez will not take the field when the Buffalo Bills come to town.

It wasn't long after the New England Patriots drafted two top-flight tight ends in the second and fourth rounds of the 2010 draft that we saw the terrific advantages this gave the Pats on the offensive end of the football. Their two-TE sets were seemingly impossible for defenses to stop as Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez were too big for cornerbacks and too quick for linebackers...
The New England Patriots keep winning despite a defense that keeps struggling.
They allowed Buffalo to gain a season-high 481 yards and still beat the Bills 37-31 on Sunday. The Patriots clinched the win when Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an interception right into the hands of Devin McCourty in the end zone with 23 seconds left.
The Patriots have allowed the eighth most yards per game...
Cornerback Aqib Talib, whom the Patriots acquired Nov. 1 in a trade with Tampa Bay, had his four-game suspension for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substances lifted today by the NFL.
Talib arrived at Gillette Stadium early this afternoon.
To that end, New England announced that linebacker Jeff Tarpinian was released. The move was almost certainly done to open a...
Danny Woodhead has taken over the role of Kevin Faulk in the Patriots’ offense and is playing it in only a way that would make Faulk proud
Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium was Kevin Faulk day at Gillette Stadium. Faulk was one of the most versatile players to put on the Patriots’ jersey. In the media and with the fans, Faulk was also one of the most respected players simply...
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots sit comfortably atop the AFC East after edging the Buffalo Bills 37-31 in a Week 10 matchup between division rivals. And I just have to say that the Patriots seem determined to give Patriot Nation a collective aneurysm with games that shouldn't be as close as they are.New England had a golden opportunity to put the game out of reach twice...
FOXBORO, Mass. — Earlier this season, Devin McCourty felt the ire of Patriots nation. Every move he made, every play he was on the field — which was almost all of them — the watchful eye of Patriots fans everywhere was scrutinizing him.
That extreme examination hasn’t subsided completely, but each week McCourty has slowly chipped away at the negative perception surrounding...
Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes smashed into quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the fourth quarter of the Patriots 37-31 win over the Bills. The hit drew a roughing the passer penalty, and an expletive from Fitzpatrick directed toward Spikes. It drew an equally strong reaction after the game, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.

Now after the original video with Kobe Bryant came out, it has been well-documented that this stuff is fake. They CGI the car into the video, and the athlete is merely jumping in the air. That being said, Lloyd shows off an absolutely insane vertical; it actually looks like his vertical is high enough to actually jump over the car, which is amazing.
