Darrelle Revis really wanted to wear #24 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to Paul Lukas of UniWatch, Revis paid new teammate and fellow defensive back Mark Barron $50k in order to get the jersey number he has worn since entering the NFL. That’s a #$%^load of money for a jersey. I get wanting to wear “your” number, but this is beyond absurd. Usually, players have had to buy something nice for the other one. The best we recently heard about was Adrian Wilson offering Kyle Arrington a year supply of diapers in order to get his number. Arrington took him up on it. Diapers not only cost a lot (not that money is much of an issue for these guys), but you always realize at the last moment you forgot to buy more. One of the commenters over at Uniwatch pointed out the great story about how Jeff Feagles was able to get Eli Manning to pay for his trip in order to give up the #10, and then Plaxico Burress paid the following year for Feagles kitchen to be remodled in order to wear #17. He probably could have a bathroom out of Burress as well, since that [...]

  • I cant believe this man would spend $50K for a jersey. Truth is I figured he was a TIGHTWAD. He and his woman moved to town a few weeks ago, they had 2 movers settling them into their highrise apartment in Tampa. Move things up then decided to move them down then back upstairs. Regardless .... they NEVER offered the movers a drink of water or a bite of food and then NO TIP not one dime. This guy signed a 12 million dollar contract or something crazy like that and he cant tip these guys even $20. WOW .... money makes people strange.
  • Were you one of the two movers since you seem to know so much about what went on in his apartment?? Why does that make him strange??? There are many people who DON'T tip???
