The Philadelphia Eagles and free agent defensive end Victor Butler reportedly have a mutual interest in each other, and a deal still could get done, just not on Tuesday apparently.
Butler and the Eagles met, and he also took a physical, but left town after that. He's already visited with the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers and others, so we can expect there's more teams looking to meet with him as well.
This perhaps does not bode too well for the Eagles, or many of the other teams as well, seeing that Butler will likely go to the highest bidder.
Jeff McClane of the The Philaldelphia Inquirer writes: ' The team is looking to add to its stable of pass-rushers. The 6-foot-2, 248-pound Butler would likely be used as a situational outside linebacker and special-teams contributor.
