1. Sign Tim Tebow
Love him or hate him, Tim Tebow has become the face of, not just the franchise, but the entire league.  He is obviously not the prototypical quarterback, and will never be a John Elway, a Tom Brady, or a Peyton Manning.  It's just nice to see a player win with heart.  This city needs him.

2.  Cornerback.
If it were up to me, Champ Bailey would be on my team forever. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work that way.  I believe he has two or three good years in him, then maybe a couple helping to bring the young guys along.  The reality is that he can't play forever.  I just hope he enters the Hall of Fame as a Bronco.  Andre Goodman has the ability to step up and be the No. 1 corner.  But, as has been the case after John Elway, we will always be looking for the next Champ.  They are tough shoes to fill, and it's going to take a very special player to fill them.  The Broncos need to start replacing him now.

3.  Backup Quarterback.
In a perfect world, Tebow will start every game for the next 15 years.  But as time goes on, with his style of play, chances are he will get hurt.  My question is - is Brady Quinn the guy you want to take over?  More to the point, if I'm Quinn, am I going to be happy on the bench for the rest of my career?  It takes a special person to be a teammate like this (see Gary Kubiak), and Quinn has handled it very well.  But if a shot comes up for him to start for somebody, I think he's out of here.

4.  Safety.
Brian Dawkins (see #2 above) can't play forever either.  I am honored, as a Broncos fan, to have been able to say that Brian Dawkins plays here.  Like Tebow and Champ, he is truly one of the great people in sports.  When I was a kid, I wanted to be like O.J. Simpson...look how that turned out.  The truth is, if I wanted my sons to emulate anybody, not only in sports, but in life, it would be Brian Dawkins.  David Bruton is doing a fine job, and has the potential to be a great player.  However, it's difficult to replace the heart and the leadership that Dawkins brings to the team.  As with Bailey, it's time to start looking for that guy.

5.  Special Teams.
Matt Prater is a beast.  That's all I'm gonna say.  So that part is covered.  However, every time the Broncos punt, I want to cover my eyes.  It just seems too easy for opposing returners to slice through, around, and past the Broncos.  I think, from within the ranks or from outside, we need that one fearless, selfless, fast, crazy guy who gives the punt team that identity; the guy that makes people a little nervous.  Nobody is scared of this squad, and that's bad.
